VPNWN Guides
Create an account → Choose a plan → Get your subscription → Import it into a client → Verify your connection. If you’re new, follow these steps in order. If you already have an account, go straight to getting your subscription.
Interfaces vary across operating systems, clients, and versions. This guide uses common labels such as “Subscription,” “Configuration,” and “Import”; follow the prompts in the dashboard and your client. If a label differs, look for the equivalent function rather than clicking based on its position.
Create an account and open the dashboard
Start by opening the account page on VPNWN. Enter a username and password, then follow the prompts to create your account. No email address required—just a username and password. Choose a username that’s easy to recognize but doesn’t reveal your identity. Use a unique password and store it securely in a trusted password manager.
Check your entries before submitting, especially your keyboard input language, capitalization, and any accidental spaces. Don’t submit repeatedly just because the expected page hasn’t appeared. Check for an on-screen message and follow its instructions first. If you already have an account, sign in with your existing username and password. This helps ensure your plan is on the same account where you look for your subscription.
Once you’re in the dashboard, confirm which account you’re signed into, then check Account Overview, plans, and client downloads. Don’t enable the system proxy yet: creating an account, activating a plan, and connecting a client are separate steps. After confirming you can access the dashboard, choose a plan. You’ll also use the dashboard to get your subscription and check orders.
Choose a plan and confirm your order
Open the Plans section in the dashboard and decide whether you need monthly access or a data package that doesn’t reset monthly. Monthly plans are ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Monthly data resets each month on your activation date, not at the start of the calendar month. Check the billing period shown in the dashboard when reviewing your remaining data.
If you prefer a set amount of data to use over time, see the data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB. Data lasts until it’s used and never expires. Consider how you’ll use it: streaming video and transferring large files consume data continuously, while browsing text-heavy pages and messaging use it differently. Rather than estimate how long a package will last for a particular app, check your own usage and the records in the dashboard. For a full comparison, see the plan pricing guide.
After choosing a plan, check the plan name, amount, and billing method on the order confirmation screen. Then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT. Return to the dashboard and confirm that the order is complete and the plan status has updated. If the external payment page and dashboard don’t match right away, check the original order before placing another one. If you need help, open a support ticket from the dashboard and include your order details.
VPNWN allows unlimited simultaneous devices and offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for details. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is converted into remaining days; don’t estimate the result by simply subtracting full monthly prices. Once you’ve confirmed the plan is active, get your subscription.
Get your subscription from the dashboard
Open Account Overview and find the subscription section. Your subscription gives the client the server configurations available to your account; it isn’t a web address for a particular server or an installer. If the dashboard offers a one-click import for your client, use it. Otherwise, copy the subscription link and paste it into the client’s “Import from URL” or “Add Subscription” option.
Don’t paste the link into a search engine or share it in a public group. Treat it as a personal access credential, and hide the full link in screenshots when asking for help. If your client says the address is invalid, copy it again from the dashboard and check for added line breaks, spaces, or other text. Don’t edit the link parameters yourself.
If no subscription is available in Account Overview, first check that your plan is active and that you’re signed into the account used to place the order. If both are correct and the problem persists, describe the issue in a dashboard support ticket. Don’t look for a supposed universal subscription on another site or import someone else’s link as if it belonged to your account.
Once you have your subscription, open the client downloads section. Installing a client doesn’t import your subscription, and copying a subscription doesn’t establish a connection. Next, link the two and check that the client displays servers you can select.
Import your subscription on your platform
Choose your operating system in the client downloads section of the dashboard, then follow the VPNWN client and import instructions provided there. Sign in to access clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux; access to the iOS client is checked against your active plan status. Downloading a client and having an active subscription are separate requirements. A client download alone doesn’t mean you have data available to use.
Windows: Open the subscription or configuration page
Select Windows in the dashboard, then save and install the client as prompted by your system. When you open it for the first time, look for a page related to “Subscriptions,” “Configuration,” or importing. If the dashboard offers one-click import, keep the client open and return to the dashboard to select the import option. If your browser asks to open the client, confirm it’s the right app before proceeding.
To import manually, create a subscription in the client, choose the option to add it by link, paste the copied link, and save. Then update or refresh the subscription and select the configuration once the server list appears. If the list is empty, check whether the update returned an error. Don’t keep toggling the connection before the configuration has loaded. Wait until the verification step to choose a system proxy or other mode.
macOS: Grant system permissions, then update the configuration
Get the macOS client from the dashboard, follow the installation instructions, and open the app. If it requests network configuration permissions, read the app name and purpose in the system prompt before granting access. Don’t disable system-wide security features just to complete installation. If you see a system warning when launching the app, follow the current installation instructions. If you’re unsure, check with support through a ticket first.
Open the client’s configuration manager or subscription page. Use one-click import from the dashboard, or choose the option to add a subscription from a link. Save and refresh the configuration, check that the region and server names appear, and set the subscription as the active configuration. A menu bar icon may only indicate that the client is open; check the connection status in the client rather than assuming it’s connected because the icon is visible.
Android: Import your subscription and confirm network access
Sign in to the dashboard and choose the Android client. Follow the installation steps shown on your device. Open the app and find its subscription or configuration page, then add your subscription using the matching import option in the dashboard. To import manually, paste the complete link, save, and update the subscription. Confirm that the server list appears, then choose a region.
When connecting for the first time, Android may ask you to confirm VPN connection permissions. This is how the system authorizes an app to manage network connections. Check which app is requesting access before allowing it, then check the connection status in the client. If another network proxy app is running on your device, disconnect it before testing VPNWN to avoid conflicts over the system network connection. Background and battery settings vary by device; check whether any adjustments are needed after connecting.
iOS: Get the client through the active plan portal
Choose iOS in the dashboard and follow the instructions shown after your active plan has been verified. If the page says an active plan is required, return to Plans and Orders to check your status. Follow the current dashboard instructions for installation and import. Don’t use configuration files from unknown sources in search results or mistake an installer for another platform for an iOS client.
After opening the client, add your subscription using the one-click import option in the dashboard. To import manually, choose the option to import from a link on the subscription or configuration page, then paste and save the link. Once the update is complete, choose a server and connect. If the system asks to add a VPN configuration, check the app and follow the authorization prompt. Verify your connection only after the subscription has updated and system permissions have been granted.
Linux and other import differences
Linux users can also get the VPNWN client from the dashboard and follow the download section instructions to install it and import a subscription. Network permissions and proxy settings vary across desktop environments. Load the configuration first, then check that your apps are using the selected proxy. This guide doesn’t cover network settings for command-line tools, IDE extensions, or AI APIs. For those environments, see the relevant sections in the AI Access Guide.
Connect to a server and verify it’s working
After updating your subscription, choose a server that meets the region requirements of the service you want to use, then connect. For your first test, keep the server unchanged so you can tell what effect later changes have. A successful connection in the client usually means the local connection has been established, but you still need to check whether the target app is actually using that route. Don’t rely only on the connection toggle’s color or whether one website opens.
Open the network test page to check your current exit details, then visit the website or app you want to use. With split tunneling enabled, the test page and target site may use different routes. The result only shows the route used for that particular request; it doesn’t prove that all apps use the same route. To confirm fully, consider the client’s current mode and the target app’s actual behavior.
Next, perform a real action in the target service, such as opening a page and waiting for it to load or sending a routine request and checking that the full response arrives. AI tools may use different network environments for sign-in, web access, and API calls. If your browser works, that doesn’t mean your terminal or editor extension is configured too. For these scenarios, continue troubleshooting in the AI Access Guide. There’s no need to configure every tool when getting started.
If it doesn’t work, retrace the steps in order
If no servers load, return to the subscription page and check the update result and plan status. If servers load but won’t connect, confirm your local internet connection works, then try another server. If the client connects but your browser’s exit details don’t change, check the system proxy or split-tunneling rules, and make sure no other proxy app is running. Change one setting at a time and repeat the same test to avoid making it harder to identify the cause.
If only one service isn’t working, first check its current region rules, account status, and any messages it displays. Then consider changing your exit region. VPNWN offers 120+ countries and 250+ servers, but access to a service also depends on its own rules and account requirements. A server in a particular region doesn’t guarantee access to a specific platform. See the server list for region options, and avoid frequently changing your account details while troubleshooting.
Everyday use after verification
Once you’ve confirmed everything works, keep the working configuration, update your subscription as needed in the client, and check your remaining data and plan status in the dashboard. To use another device, repeat the steps to get the client, import your subscription, and verify the connection. Simultaneous device use is unlimited, but data usage is still subject to your plan. The device limit and data allowance are separate.
For help, open a support ticket in the dashboard. Include your operating system, the error shown in the client, the selected region, and the checks you’ve already completed. You can attach a screenshot with personal information hidden; don’t share your password or full subscription link. For future sessions, you’ll usually just need to open the client, confirm the configuration, and connect. If you change devices or plans, return to the relevant steps in this guide.
